What I’m Working On…

June 11th, 2009 | 15:01

Two of the projects I have on my 10 things in 101 days.

Groovy

The shag rug type latch hook picture I am working on. The colors, at least on my computer, aren't true to life. The left top flower is supposed to be a pretty lilac.

Beginning of a quilt

The is the beginning of an Apple Core quilt. I'm hand sewing it.

More photos to come…of our house, and people, etc!

My fortieth birthday is only…

June 10th, 2009 | 20:14

…1049 days away! But who’s counting? To celebrate I am working on a list of things I want to have accomplished by that time. And I will be posting it later this month. But here is a sneak preview!

–See every movie that is playing at a theater in a given week even if it’s a movie I don’t want to see.
–Go to a county fair that I’ve never been to before. (I’ve been to the one in my town dozens of times, but never to another town.)
–Visit the graves of 20 of my ancestors that I’ve never been to before.
–Make a family cookbook.
–Learn to cook Indian food.
–Write a letter to Frodo for him to open when he is 40.
–Get all my friends in Sweden to come here for my 40th birthday bash! (You hear that Bev, Monica, Heather, Erika, Irma and Riika. Be here in 1049 days or be square!)

It’s been so much fun making the list! And it will be even more fun doing the list!

10 Things in 101 Days!

June 7th, 2009 | 21:44

Yup I am doing it again. In case you forgot what IT was…

So you have heard of 101 in 1001 days? It’s a list of 101 things you want to accomplish in 1001 days. Well instead of doing 101 in 1001 days. I’m gonna try 10 in 101 days!

Here is my list of 10 things I want to accomplish in 101 days which would be Sept 17, 2009 :

1. Get into a regular routine at the gym.
2. Find a church home.
3. Get my car fixed (hail damage, brakes, mirror ) and detailed.
4. Get a puppy! A real one this time!
5. Go camping!
6. Complete 100 things That Make Me Happy Photo Collage. (more explanation on that later!)
7. Read 15 books
8. Complete the Latch Hook I am working on and have at least 3 rows of my quilt finished.
9. Weed out my flower bed!
10. Make at least 2 new friends.

Stay tuned because not only am I gonna be working on this small goal, I am also gonna be coming up with a major list of things to do by April of 2012 (my 40th birthday! Ack!)

Me

YAY! I did it!
